La chaîne ABC ramène à l’écran le légendaire jeu télévisé Match Game et cette fois, le tournage aura lieu ici même, à Montréal !
Déjà adapté au Québec avec Alexandre Barrette, ce format culte lancé en 1962 (animé à l’origine par Gene Rayburn) a conquis le public partout dans le monde. ABC en a aussi diffusé une version très populaire, lancée en 2016 et en ondes jusqu'en 2021. La toute nouvelle édition sera animée par nul autre que Martin Short, véritable légende de la comédie.
Match Game, c’est une émission délirante où tout peut arriver ! Quatre participants s’affrontent dans un jeu de questions à trous complètement farfelu, avec un seul objectif : faire « match » avec les réponses de six célébrités invitées. Ambiance survoltée et éclats de rire garantis !
Martin Short, grand comédien et acteur qui a conquis le cœur du public et reçu de nombreuses distinctions à la télévision, au cinéma et au théâtre depuis sa saison révélatrice à Saturday Night Live, il y a 40 ans. Il partage aussi l’écran avec Steve Martin et Selena Gomez dans la série à succès Only Murders in the Building. Parmi ses nombreuses distinctions, Short a reçu l’Ordre du Canada en 2000, a été intronisé à l’Allée des célébrités canadiennes la même année, et a reçu en 2017 un prix pour l’ensemble de sa carrière remis par le gouverneur général du Canada. Sa présence promet une version moderne, éclatée et fidèle à l’esprit original du jeu. Aucun cellulaire et autre appareil d’enregistrement ne seront admis en studio. Vous devrez déposer vos appareils à la consigne avec le reste de vos effets personnels surveillés par des préposés. Une personne prise en défaut avec son cellulaire à l'intérieur du studio fera face à une expulsion immédiate.
